How We Get The Selections 

The selection was made after all films were double-blind scored on 15 criteria by our volunteer panel. Films were then ranked according to score, to remove variation or score bias. Shortly after we closed entries, an initial "Round 1 Qualifier" was completed consisting of approximately a third of entries. The Official Selection has been cut from this Qualifier Round. There are some great films in the qualifying round, it is always extremely difficult to choose, so essentially we stick with the rankings and the format above. It has worked well. 

The winners of all categories awards are contained within this selection but there are also a number of Honorary, and Special Mentions with in the Round 1 Qualifier group. Using the rankings mentioned above, we will ask for a scoring from our industry judges for the "best in field" and these will be added to the panels score to give a final result.
